Welcome to a new season with FBC as trainer! How does that feel?
Hello, Lerum´s family! I´m really glad, that I can continue as the headcoach for JAS-lag. I´m not ”the new one” in here, so I can just smoothly work on with our juniors.
There’s been a lot of discussions about what Mr Sladky will do 2016–17. How have you experienced this time?
Well, I signed a player´s contract with Alingsås IBK kind of late (around middle of June!), after that it took some time also to fix my time-schedule of practices, so situation was clear around end of July. I agree, that it wasn´t the best way for solution, but it was maybe impossible to solve it differently.
You have a lot of floorball activities going on each week. How do you manage to solve the schedule and make a good result of it?
This season will be really tough, schedule is really full and colourfull in the same time. It’s gonna be tough, because it´s WM-season, so I have to keep focus also for my own preparation for national team. On the other side, floorball is my life, it´s my choise, so I´m not afraid to manage it and do my best for personal and team success!
What do you think about the coming season with HJ Elit?
Season will be really intense, specially when our ELIT group isn´t so big like last year. It means, that all of players will play a lot and if they will work hard, they will earn a huge package of experience this year!
How has the pre-season looked like?
Well, unfortunatelly couple of talented guys left FBC Lerum before this season. I´m kind of sad, because to work with them could bring me even more fun during this season. But situation is getting better now, practices are in higher tempo with better qaulity, so hopefully we will be ready for saturday´s JAS home-premier. Big thanks belongs to our condition coach Magnus Warberg, who is also doing his best and prepairs our players for high-tempo floorball.
How have you resonated about the goals for HJ Elit?
After last year, when we reached a playoff position, it has to stay at laest on the same level. So my goal is to bring JAS-lag into playoff. As always I want to work individually with all of players and train them for next level-men´s league.
Premier game against Kärra this weekend – what do you think about that?
Finally official start of the season! We did some work in preseason, so hopefully all of players are hungry to play some real game again! For sure I will enjoy it a lot together with my coach-partner Pontus Persson! So, see you in Rydsberg´s madhouse on saturday, 17:30! Tja, Tomas.
