Mycket glädjande kan vi meddela att 21-åriga centern, Leonie Vogt, har tecknat ett tvåårsavtal med FBC Lerum.
Leonie är en hårt arbetande spelare med bra spelförståelse och ett vasst direktskott. Hösten 2021 representerade hon Tyskland på U19 VM i Uppsala. Leonie kommer från en av Tysklands mer kända och framgångsrika föreningar, UHC Sparkasse Weißenfels, geografiskt beläget strax söder om Leipzig. Klubben har dam- och herrlag i Bundesliga och nyligen vann herrlaget tyska mästerskapet. Vi tog oss en pratastund med Leonie för att höra hennes tankar om den nya utmaning som nu väntar.
Leonie, welcome to our club! How does it feel to be a FBC Lerum player?
-I am very excited and happy to be a part of FBC Lerum and can’t wait to play in the next season. At the same time I am a little bit nervous because it’s new to me to play in a country like Sweden.
Tell us a little bit about your background as a player and the reason why you moved to Sweden?
-I have been playing innebandy for 16 years in Germany, five years of them in the highest league. I decided 7 months ago to become an aupair in Sweden. Living in Sweden for the past months have shown me that i really like it here and to stay here. So the only thing left to do was finding a perfect new team.
For our supporters and those who haven’t seen you play, describe yourself as a player?
–I am a player who likes to be part of the defense and offense, so playing as center is the perfect mixture. I am fast and have a good view over the field.
-You’ve been training with us for a while. What are your impressions so far?
–I love the team and coaches. Everyone greeted me with open arms and i felt really welcomed from the beginning. It’s a really tight team, where everyone is working towards the same goals. I feel happy to be part of that team!
What are your expectations for the upcoming season?
–I will give everything to support the Team to get to our goals that we set for us. I also want to learn some new things from my teammates so i can improve my own playing skills.

–It’s a great signing for us. Leonie have made a good impression from the first contact. She is ambitius, honest and reliable as a person. On the court I see a fast and hard working two way center with good split vision. Leonie likes to play with high intensity and is very direct in goal-scoring opportunities. The fact that she has experience from international matches is a boost for our team. When I saw her play in the U19 WC she stood out with physical and mental strength.
